Viktor Pivovarov

I'm a really big fan of using gouache because of the matte finish and acrylic consistency, so these pieces really stood out to me, even though theyre not made with gouache they look similar. The exactness/accuracy with which they're painted is really impressive and also satisfying, and definitely helped Pivovarov's work stand out to me. The text is also very reminiscent of the sources i had to analyse in my world history class, which is fitting considering the piece is about soviet society. This style and almost monochromatic color palette is something I want to experiment with, and reminds me of an artist from back home i studied during my A levels, Moeen Faruqi. pivovarov desc.JPG
